ultrafiltration, water treatment, ceramic membranes
2_Exploring improvements in fisheries and aquaculture
CERAFILTEC is a technology provider for a special type of membrane technology. The ceramic membrane is an ultrafiltration membrane with a cut-off of 0.1 microns. The membranes can be submerged into the tanks and the filtration is done by suction pressure with a filtration direction outside-in. This allows a good cleaning of the membranes and the technology has a low energy demand.
We have started some work in treatment of water from shrimp farms and would like to offer those experiences into a consortium for treatment of water from aquacultures.
CERAFILTEC was founded in 2016 as a technology provider for ceramic multi-channel flat sheet membrane systems as we are convinced that this technology is perspective for special liquid filtration tasks. Actual focus of CERAFILTEC is on drinking water purification from different sources like surface water, ground water, etc. and prefiltration prior to brackish water or seawater desalination. There are also concepts for sewage water treatment available as well as experiences in industrial process water recovery.
