3_Exploring synergies across sectors
We have a ready methodology application proposal in the sector of "blue economy" by using innovative products and solutions for smart fishing and in particular with the scope to:
• Design and implement equipment that improve the selectivity of fishing gear, species and reduces the physical and biological effects of fishing onto the ecosystem or the seabed.
• Improvement of systems to collect and manage fisheries data through the implementation of pilot studies.
• Development and implementation of technology that makes it possible to collect, manage, validate and exchange data relating to fishing, as well as to promote synergy across-sectors respectively.
The physical object of this proposal is the development of an information system in a multi-level approach starting from implementing autonomous identification nodes for tracking fishing gear and vessels, also for ghost-fishing and by using diverse geospatial technologies (Internet of Things- IOT) and artificial intelligence computing
